Life is Good

We all hear and read this from time to time. I hope it gives you a warm feeling knowing that person is in a really good place.

This past September I married the most wonderful woman. Sas is truly my best friend.

Personal acomplishments mean all the much more when you have someone to share them with. I am looking forward to sharing this “Challenge” with my best friend Sas!

So when I say Life is Good… just know I am in a very good place!

I love you hun!

Wed night Computrainer ride

Wednesday night I was on the Computrainer again. Not a killer workout (still a little early on for that) but a solid workout! I kind of messed up the set by reseting the workout half way through :-(. This meant I had to do it from the start again. As I got into the second half of the set (55 mins total, which was now going to be 1:20) I really started to feel the effort in my legs, this is just one of the reasons I enjoy training! There really is nothing like pushing yourself knowing the rewards will be there on race day.

I only had time last night after dark to run, so treadmill it was. 45 mins with a few tempo efforts to work the legs a bit.

1.5 Hour night mbt ride

I am very fortunate to live were I live! Last night Coach Al and I road out from my house to the trails at Black Ledge Falls and did the red loop at Gay City. Since we now have Daylight Saving time the ride was all in the dark. Riding with lights is the next best thing to racing my rally car at night! Still a little tired from our Saturday ride at Bluff Point, but a good ride over all!

I also tried the GoPro Camera to see how it would work with the lights…

Fun Mountain Bike with Coach Al

Had a great mtb ride with Coach Al this Saturday! Bluff Point is a great place to ride, it offers a little bit of everything from fast flowing to rocky technical. Only one “over the bars” wipe out and one flat tire for Coach. Great ride!!

Sore Ribs….

Well I am still dealing with some sore ribs from falling on the night mbt ride last week. Anyone who has bruised, cracked or broken ribs knows how much fun it is!!

After a weekend off ATV riding in northern New Hampshire I am slowly getting back at it with low impact training. The past two nights I have gotten in 1 hour bike trainer rides with an ez treadmill run following…

Looking forward to a nice mountain bike ride with Coach Al this weekend and checking out his running gait lab next week. There will be a full report from that!!!
